Review Expert vs ReviewBot
14-day free trial · cancel anytime
TL;DR
- ReviewBot is the cheapest way to get alerts: $5 per Flow per month (billed annually) for one app to one destination.
- Review Expert is more than alerts: a shared inbox, replies posted to both stores, dashboards (volume, average rating, distribution, response rate and time) and team roles.
- Pricing models differ: ReviewBot scales with apps × destinations (plus $10 per Flow for replies). Review Expert is a flat plan: $39, $119 or $319 a month billed annually.
- Neither offers a live MCP server today: ReviewBot lists none, and Review Expert's is early access.
Who should pick which
- You have one or two apps and want their reviews in a single Slack channel.
- You do not need a dashboard, history or a shared inbox: the alert is the whole workflow.
- You want review translation, which ReviewBot lists today.
- Budget is the deciding factor and your Flow count is small.
- Reviews need to go to several places: Slack for the team, Linear for bugs, Zendesk for support.
- You want to reply from one inbox, with the reply posted back to the App Store or Google Play.
- You want trends over time: average rating, rating distribution, response rate and response time.
- You want Google Play review history beyond the last week (up to 36 months), not only recent reviews.
- You want a predictable plan price instead of a cost that grows with every app and destination.

Pricing as listed on vendors' public pages as of October 11, 2026; check their site for current pricing.
ReviewBot's per-Flow model is easy to start with. One Flow is one app sending to one destination. If you have three apps on both stores and each should post to two places, that is several Flows, and the reply add-on is charged per Flow too. Work out your own Flow count with ReviewBot's current prices.
Review Expert prices by plan. Starter covers 2 apps, 5 members, and Slack and Linear; Pro covers 4 apps, 15 members, and adds Microsoft Teams and Zendesk; Enterprise covers 10 apps, unlimited members and webhooks. Replies and dashboards are included. You pay more than a single Flow, and in exchange you get a full review workflow.

Integrations and review sources
Both tools cover the App Store and Google Play. ReviewBot is built around Slack and lists other destinations as well. Check its site for the current list.
Review Expert connects to the App Store and Google Play through the official APIs with your own credentials. Google Play history is backfilled from your Play Console review exports, so you are not limited to the last week the Play API returns. Destinations are Slack and Linear (Starter and up), Microsoft Teams and Zendesk (Pro and up), and webhooks (Enterprise), each with minimum rating, maximum rating and keyword filters. Zapier and more sources are coming soon.
AI features and MCP
ReviewBot lists review translation. Its public pages do not list an MCP server or AI reply drafting.
Review Expert does not have live AI features yet either. Its sentiment view is based on star rating, and AI reply drafts, NLP sentiment and topic extraction are coming soon. A remote MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT and other agents can read your reviews, is in early access. See /mcp and analyzing app reviews with AI agents.
Where ReviewBot is stronger
ReviewBot is a good product, and in several areas it does more than Review Expert does today:
- Very low entry price for a single app posting to a single channel
- Review translation
- Simple to set up if all you need is alerts
For balance, here is what some public reviews and pricing trackers mention about ReviewBot:
- Per-flow pricing grows with apps × destinations
- Minimal analytics
How to switch from ReviewBot to Review Expert
- 1
Start a 14-day free trial
Pick the plan that matches your app count and the destinations you need (Slack and Linear on Starter, Microsoft Teams and Zendesk on Pro, webhooks on Enterprise). You can change plans or cancel anytime. See pricing. - 2
Connect your App Store app
In App Store Connect, create an API key under Users and Access → Integrations and note the Issuer ID, Key ID and the .p8 private key (Apple lets you download it once). Add it in Review Expert under Apps & Businesses. Review Expert syncs your review history through the official App Store Connect API, then checks for new reviews roughly every 5 minutes. - 3
Connect Google Play and your review exports
Connect a Google Play service account for the Developer API. Because that API only returns reviews from about the last week, also point Review Expert at the Play Console review CSV exports in Google Cloud Storage so it can backfill older history. There is no import tool for ReviewBot data: your history comes straight from Apple and Google. - 4
Recreate your routing as destinations
In the Review Expert dashboard, open Automation, choose Manage destinations (or Add destination), click Connect next to Slack, Linear, Microsoft Teams or Zendesk and approve access. For webhooks, paste your HTTPS URL. Add minimum rating, maximum rating and keyword filters to mirror the alerts you had in ReviewBot. - 5
Invite your team with roles
Under Team, invite colleagues as owner, admin or reviewer. Owners and admins manage apps, destinations and automations; everyone can read and reply to reviews. - 6
Run both tools in parallel for a week
Keep ReviewBot running while you compare: check that the reviews you expect show up, that your filters send the right ones to the right channels, and that your team is comfortable replying from Review Expert. - 7
Cancel ReviewBot
Once you are happy, export anything you want to keep from ReviewBot (check their documentation for what they allow) and cancel your subscription there.
