Grok and Grok Bot
Your App Store and Google Play reviews, in Grok
The same MCP endpoint as Claude and ChatGPT. Add
https://mcp.review.expert as a remote MCP server. OAuth discovers sign-in from /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource. Drafts stay in Review Expert until your team posts.Needs a Review Expert account · included in every plan and the trial · including Grok Bot
What it does
Read your reviews
Ask for this week's 1-star reviews, search every app for "crash", or open one review with its developer reply.
Ratings and trends
Review volume, average rating, rating distribution, response rate and rating-based sentiment over any period, compared with the one before.
AI reply drafts
Grok asks Review Expert for a reply draft in the reviewer's language, or saves text you wrote together. Every draft waits in Review Expert, unsent.
How it works
- 1
Add the MCP server
In Grok or Grok Bot, add a remote MCP server with the URLhttps://mcp.review.expertand OAuth. If the client asks for a bearer token instead, create a team API key under Settings → MCP (rx_live_…). - 2
Approve the team
Pick the Review Expert team and the scopes on the consent screen. Reading apps and reviews and saving drafts are on by default.replies:poststays off unless an owner or admin grants it. - 3
Ask in Grok
Ask in natural language about the connected apps' reviews. Grok calls Review Expert's tools and answers from live review data. - 4
Send from Review Expert
Drafts appear on the review for a person to edit and send. Scoped auto-post only runs when a product rule allows it and the connection hasreplies:post.
Try asking
- "Summarize this week's 1- and 2-star reviews and flag crashes."
- "Search every app for 'login' since the last release and group the complaints."
- "List apps with a response rate under 50% this month."
- "Draft replies to unanswered 1★ reviews from this week. Don't post them."
Nothing posts by itself
Grok and Grok Bot use the same permissions, limits and logs as every other Review Expert connection.
Permissions you can see
The consent screen lists each permission: list apps (
apps:read), read reviews and stats (reviews:read) and write drafts (replies:draft). You can untick any of them.Drafts, not posts
Publishing replies (
replies:post) is a separate permission. It is off unless an owner or admin ticks it, so by default a person sends every reply from Review Expert.Short-lived tokens, one team
OAuth access tokens last one hour and only see the team you pick. Revoke the connection any time. Your App Store and Google Play keys are never shared with Grok.
Logged and revocable
Every call is recorded in the team's activity log. Review text is passed as untrusted data, not instructions. Disconnect any time in Settings → MCP.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Grok and Grok Bot work with the apps connected to your Review Expert team. New accounts get a team and a 14-day free trial.
Not by default. Grok can read reviews and save drafts. Publishing needs the separate replies:post permission, which only an owner or admin can grant. Otherwise a person sends each reply from Review Expert.
Only the team you pick when you connect: its connected apps, reviews, existing developer replies, unsent drafts and aggregate stats. Store credentials are never shared, and other teams' data is never visible.
Nothing extra. Grok uses the Review Expert MCP server, which is included in every plan and the trial, with a monthly allowance of tool calls per plan.
Remove the MCP server in Grok or Grok Bot, and revoke the connection in Settings → MCP in Review Expert. Access tokens expire after an hour on their own.
Yes. [ChatGPT](/chatgpt), [Claude](/claude) and any other OAuth-capable client use https://mcp.review.expert with the same permissions and the same draft-first defaults. See the [MCP docs](/docs/mcp).
