AI Review Sensor alternative

Review Expert vs AI Review Sensor

AI Review Sensor is an AI reply tool for App Store, Google Play and Google Business Profile reviews, with a free plan. Review Expert is built around getting App Store and Google Play reviews to the right people: replies from one inbox, routing to Slack, Linear, Microsoft Teams, Zendesk and webhooks, a live MCP server and Google Play history beyond 7 days. Here is a dated, side-by-side comparison.

TL;DR

  • AI Review Sensor focuses on AI replies: AI drafts and rule-based Auto Send, auto-translation, sentiment and intent detection, spam flagging and ASO keyword suggestions, plus Google Business Profile reviews and unlimited apps on every plan.
  • Review Expert focuses on routing and workflow: reviews go to Slack and Linear (Starter), Microsoft Teams and Zendesk (Pro) and signed webhooks (Enterprise), with rating and keyword filters. Jira and GitHub Issues work through webhook recipes or an AI agent over MCP.
  • Agents and data: Review Expert has a live remote MCP server at https://mcp.review.expert and backfills up to 36 months of Google Play history from Play Console exports. AI Review Sensor's public pages list no MCP server, no API and no integrations beyond the review platforms.
  • Pricing: AI Review Sensor has a free plan (1,000 lifetime AI replies), Starter at $49.99/mo and Pro at $99.99/mo ($39.99 and $79.99 billed yearly). Review Expert is $49, $149 or $399 per month ($39, $119 or $319 billed annually) with a 14-day trial and no free plan.

Who should pick which

Choose AI Review Sensor if…
  • You mainly want AI to draft and send replies, and you do not need reviews routed into other tools.
  • You also need Google Business Profile reviews, or you are waiting for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok (listed as coming soon).
  • You want a free plan to start, or you manage more apps than Review Expert's plans allow (2, 4 or 10).
  • You want sentiment and intent read from the review text, and spam flagging, today.
Choose Review Expert if…
  • Reviews should land where your team already works: Slack, Linear, Microsoft Teams, Zendesk or your own webhook, filtered by rating and keywords.
  • Engineering tracks bugs in Jira or GitHub Issues: use a signed webhook recipe or an AI agent over MCP to file them.
  • You want AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to read reviews and draft replies through a remote MCP server.
  • You need Google Play reviews older than the Play API's last week (up to 36 months from Play Console exports).
  • You want to try it first without signing up: the free review analyzer shows complaint themes and unreplied reviews for any public app.

Pricing as listed on vendors' public pages as of October 19, 2026; check their site for current pricing.

The two price lists charge for different things. AI Review Sensor prices by AI reply volume: 1,000 lifetime replies on Free, 10,000 a month on Starter and unlimited on Pro, with unlimited apps on every plan. Review Expert prices by apps (2, 4 or 10), team members (5, 15 or unlimited) and destinations, and includes 100 AI replies a month on Starter and unlimited on Pro and Enterprise.

If you only need AI replies for many apps, AI Review Sensor is likely cheaper. If you need reviews in Slack and Linear, compare AI Review Sensor Starter ($39.99/mo yearly) with Review Expert Starter ($39/mo annually); for Microsoft Teams and Zendesk, Review Expert Pro ($119/mo annually). Confirm current prices on AI Review Sensor's page before you decide.

Integrations and review sources

AI Review Sensor connects the Apple App Store (App Store Connect API key), Google Play (Google sign-in with reply permission) and Google Business Profile, with Facebook, Instagram and TikTok listed as coming soon. Its public pages and docs describe a unified inbox and daily and weekly digest emails, but list no chat, issue-tracker or helpdesk integrations.

Review Expert covers the App Store and Google Play through the official APIs, plus Google Play history from Play Console review exports. Destinations are Slack and Linear on Starter, Microsoft Teams and Zendesk on Pro, and webhooks on Enterprise, each with minimum and maximum rating and keyword filters. Jira and GitHub Issues work through a signed webhook receiver or an agent over MCP; there is no native Jira or GitHub app.

AI features and MCP

AI Review Sensor's AI is the core of the product. It lists AI drafts with an Auto Send switch that only sends replies that clear your rules (low-star reviews are always held), auto-translation of reviews and replies with a claim of 40+ languages, sentiment and intent detection, spam flagging and brand-voice tuning on Pro. Review Expert has AI reply drafts and auto-reply rules with optional approval; its sentiment is based on star rating today, and NLP sentiment is coming soon.

On agents: we found no MCP server or public API on AI Review Sensor's public pages. Review Expert's MCP server is live on every plan at https://mcp.review.expert, with review, stats and draft tools, OAuth sign-in or team API keys. Details are on /mcp.

Review Expert MCP server: live on every plan
Review Expert has a remote MCP server at https://mcp.review.expert with review, stats and draft tools, OAuth sign-in and team API keys. There is no separate public REST API. See /mcp.

Where AI Review Sensor is stronger

AI Review Sensor is a good product, and in several areas it does more than Review Expert does today:

  • A free plan with 1,000 AI replies and unlimited apps
  • Unlimited connected apps on every plan (Review Expert allows 2, 4 or 10)
  • Google Business Profile reviews, which Review Expert does not cover
  • Auto-translation of reviews and replies, and sentiment and intent detection from the review text
  • Spam and abuse flagging, and ASO keyword suggestions for replies

For balance, here is what some public reviews and pricing trackers mention about AI Review Sensor:

  • No chat, issue-tracker or helpdesk routing listed (Slack, Teams, Jira, Linear, Zendesk, webhooks)
  • No MCP server or public API listed
  • Its docs say the first sync imports a recent batch of reviews, "not your entire history"
  • Its pricing FAQ says the unused part of a billing period is not refunded

How to switch from AI Review Sensor to Review Expert

  1. 1

    Start a 14-day free trial

Pick the plan that matches your app count and the destinations you need (Slack and Linear on Starter, Microsoft Teams and Zendesk on Pro, webhooks on Enterprise). You can change plans or cancel anytime. See pricing.
  2. 2

    Connect your App Store app

In App Store Connect, create an API key under Users and Access → Integrations and note the Issuer ID, Key ID and the .p8 private key (Apple lets you download it once). Add it in Review Expert under Apps & Businesses. Review Expert syncs your review history through the official App Store Connect API, then checks for new reviews roughly every 5 minutes.
  3. 3

Connect Google Play and your review exports

Connect a Google Play service account for the Developer API. Because that API only returns reviews from about the last week, also point Review Expert at the Play Console review CSV exports in Google Cloud Storage so it can backfill older history. There is no import tool for AI Review Sensor data: your history comes straight from Apple and Google.
  4. 4

    Recreate your routing as destinations

In the Review Expert dashboard, open Automation, choose Manage destinations (or Add destination), click Connect next to Slack, Linear, Microsoft Teams or Zendesk and approve access. For webhooks, paste your HTTPS URL. Add minimum rating, maximum rating and keyword filters to mirror the alerts you had in AI Review Sensor.
  5. 5

    Invite your team with roles

Under Team, invite colleagues as owner, admin or reviewer. Owners and admins manage apps, destinations and automations; everyone can read and reply to reviews.
  6. 6

Run both tools in parallel for a week

Keep AI Review Sensor running while you compare: check that the reviews you expect show up, that your filters send the right ones to the right channels, and that your team is comfortable replying from Review Expert.
  7. 7

    Cancel AI Review Sensor

Once you are happy, export anything you want to keep from AI Review Sensor (check their documentation for what they allow) and cancel your subscription there.
