Now in ChatGPT
Your App Store and Google Play reviews, in ChatGPT
The Review Expert app for ChatGPT reads reviews, ratings and trends for the apps your team has connected, and saves AI reply drafts in Review Expert. Drafts stay unsent until someone on your team posts them from Review Expert.
Needs a Review Expert account · included in every plan and the trial
What it does
Read your reviews
Ask for this week's 1-star reviews, search every app for "crash", or open one review with its developer reply.
Ratings and trends
Review volume, average rating, rating distribution, response rate and rating-based sentiment over any period, compared with the one before.
AI reply drafts
ChatGPT asks Review Expert for a reply draft in the reviewer's language, or saves text you wrote together. Every draft waits in Review Expert, unsent.
How it works
- 1
Connect with OAuth
Open the Review Expert app in ChatGPT and connect. Sign in to Review Expert, or create an account with an emailed code, then pick a team and approve the permissions. - 2
Ask in ChatGPT
Ask about your reviews in plain language. ChatGPT calls Review Expert's tools and answers from your real review data. - 3
Send drafts from Review Expert
Reply drafts appear on the review in Review Expert. Someone on your team reads, edits and sends them, and the reply is posted to the App Store or Google Play.
Works in ChatGPT and ChatGPT Dots via the Review Expert app.
Try asking
- "Summarize this week's 1- and 2-star reviews for my iOS app."
- "Search my reviews for 'login' since the last release and group the complaints."
- "Compare average rating and response rate this month with last month for all my apps."
- "Draft replies to the unanswered 1-star reviews from this week. Don't post them."
- "Show unanswered 1★ reviews older than 7 days."
Nothing posts by itself
The app works through the same permissions, limits and logs as every other Review Expert connection.
Permissions you can see
The consent screen lists each permission: list apps (
apps:read), read reviews and stats (reviews:read) and write drafts (replies:draft). You can untick any of them.Drafts, not posts
Publishing replies (
replies:post) is a separate permission. It is off unless an owner or admin ticks it, so by default a person sends every reply from Review Expert. One team, short-lived tokens
The connection only sees the team you pick, access tokens last one hour, and your App Store and Google Play keys are never shared with ChatGPT.
Logged and revocable
Every call is recorded in the team's activity log. Review text is passed as untrusted data, not instructions. Disconnect any time in Settings → MCP.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. ChatGPT works with the apps connected to your Review Expert team. If you don't have an account yet, you can create one during the connect step with an emailed code; new accounts get a team and a 14-day free trial.
Not by default. ChatGPT can read reviews and save drafts. Publishing needs the separate replies:post permission, which only an owner or admin can grant. Otherwise a person sends each reply from Review Expert.
Only the team you pick when you connect: its connected apps, reviews, existing developer replies, unsent drafts and aggregate stats. Store credentials are never shared, and other teams' data is never visible.
Nothing extra. The ChatGPT app uses the Review Expert MCP server, which is included in every plan and the trial, with a monthly allowance of tool calls per plan.
Remove the connection in Settings → MCP in Review Expert to revoke its access. You can also remove the app in ChatGPT.
Yes. The same server at https://mcp.review.expert works in [Claude](/claude) and [Grok](/grok) (including Grok Bot), and with Cursor, VS Code and your own agents, with OAuth or a team API key. Same permissions, same draft-first defaults.
