Linear integration · Starter and up
Turn app reviews into Linear issues
Users report bugs in App Store and Google Play reviews long before anyone files a ticket. Review Expert creates Linear issues from the reviews that matter, filtered by star rating and keywords, so they land in your team's backlog instead of a store console.

What the Linear integration does
It sends app reviews to Linear issues for you: each review that matches a Linear destination's filters creates a new issue in the team linked to the destination.
One issue per matching review
The issue includes the rating, store, author, date and full review text, plus links back to the review.
Only actionable reviews
Keyword and rating filters keep praise and vague complaints out of your backlog.
Both stores, one backlog
App Store and Google Play reviews from every connected app can feed the same Linear backlog, so iOS and Android reports sit side by side.
Set up the Linear integration
- 1
Connect your apps
Add your App Store and Google Play apps under Apps & Businesses. Review Expert imports their review history, then checks for new reviews roughly every 5 minutes. - 2
Connect Linear
In the Review Expert dashboard, open Automation, choose Manage destinations (or Add destination), click Connect next to Linear and approve access. Sign in to Linear, select your workspace and click Authorize. - 3
Check the target team
Issues are created in the first team of the Linear workspace you authorized. Choosing a different team per destination isn't available yet. - 4
Set filters
Add keywords that signal a bug or request and, if you like, a rating range. Save, and matching reviews start creating issues.
Filters that keep your backlog clean
A Linear destination supports a minimum rating, a maximum rating and a list of keywords. All filters you set must pass. Keywords are matched against the review text, ignore case, and match inside longer words, so crash also catches "crashed" and "crashing". A review with no text never matches a keyword filter.
Example configurations
- Crash reports: keywords
crash, freeze, stuck, black screen; any rating. Some users still leave 4 stars while reporting a crash. - Login and payments: keywords
login,sign in,password,charged,subscription; max rating 3. - Feature requests: keywords
please add, wish, would be great, labelled for product triage in Linear.
Tip: start with a narrow keyword list and widen it after a week. Each matching review creates its own issue, so broad filters can create a lot of issues on a busy app.

Frequently asked questions
Connect your apps in Review Expert, then open Automation, choose Manage destinations, click Connect next to Linear and approve access. Issues are created in the first team of the Linear workspace you authorize. Then set rating and keyword filters; matching reviews create new issues in that team.
Only if you leave the filters empty. Most teams add keywords such as "crash", "bug" or "doesn't work" and often a maximum rating of 3, so only actionable reviews become issues.
The title includes the star rating, app name and reviewer. The description includes the store, rating, author, date, the review text, and links to the review in Review Expert and in the store when available.
Linear is included on every plan, starting with Starter at $49 per month ($39 per month billed annually). All plans start with a 14-day free trial.
Today, issues are created in the first team of the Linear workspace you connect. Choosing a specific team per destination isn't available yet; until then, use Linear's own triage or team moves to route issues further.
No. Each matching review creates its own issue. Use Linear's own tools to merge or mark duplicates. Automatic topic grouping across reviews is planned but not available yet.
Not natively yet. Linear is the only issue tracker with a built-in integration today. For Jira or GitHub, use a webhook destination (Enterprise) with a small receiver that creates the issue; native Jira and GitHub sync is coming soon.
