For indie developers

An app review tool for indie developers, priced honestly

Review Expert starts at $49/month ($39/month billed annually) for 2 apps. That's not nothing for a solo developer. Here's when it's worth it, and when a free or cheaper option is the better call.

If you ship one app and get a handful of reviews a week, App Store Connect and Play Console are free and do the basics: read reviews, filter them, reply. Both consoles have mobile apps too. Checking them once or twice a week is a perfectly good workflow, and you don't need us for it.

The consoles start to hurt when:

  • you have an iOS and an Android app and keep forgetting to check one of them,
  • you want Google Play reviews older than about a week without downloading monthly CSVs,
  • you want reviews pushed to Slack or turned into Linear issues so bugs don't get lost,
  • or a co-founder, contractor or support person needs access without full console permissions.

Cheaper alternatives, compared fairly

When Review Expert is worth $39–$49 a month

You ship on both stores
One inbox for the iOS and Android versions, with a by-platform breakdown, synced roughly every 5 minutes.
You want the full Google Play picture
History from Play Console exports, not just the API's last week. See Google Play.
Reviews are your bug tracker
Route 1–2 star reviews mentioning "crash" or "login" to Linear and everything else to Slack.
Replying is part of your growth
Reply to both stores from one place. On the App Store, customers are notified of your response and may update their rating.

How to decide in a 14-day trial

  1. Connect both versions of your app on day one. The first sync imports your history.
  2. Add a Slack destination for 1–2 star reviews and a Linear destination for keyword matches.
  3. Reply to the backlog of unanswered reviews from one place and watch the response rate on the dashboard.
  4. At the end of the trial, ask: did I catch something I would have missed in the consoles? If not, cancel. No hard feelings.

Pay annually to get Starter at $39/month. If you outgrow 2 apps, Pro covers 4 apps for $149/month ($119 annually). Full pricing.
