For developers
Bug reports from app reviews, in the tools you already use
Review Expert syncs App Store and Google Play reviews through the official APIs and sends the ones that look like bug reports to Linear, Slack, Microsoft Teams or your own webhook. Reply to users once the fix ships.

Users report bugs in reviews, not in your issue tracker
“Crashes when I open the camera on my Pixel.” “Login loop since the last update.” Many users never file a support ticket; they leave a 1-star review and move on. Crash reporting catches crashes, but not the broken flow, the confusing paywall or the sync bug that only shows up on one Android OEM.
Review Expert puts those reviews where engineers already work. No polling two consoles, no scraping, no cron job you have to maintain against two different store APIs.
What developers get
Official APIs, your keys
App Store Connect API key (.p8) and a Google Play service account. History import, then sync roughly every 5 minutes.
Linear issues
Reviews matching rating and keyword rules become issues. See Linear.
Slack and Teams
Post matching reviews to Slack (Starter+) or Microsoft Teams (Pro+) so the on-call channel sees them.
Webhooks (Enterprise)
A JSON payload per matching review, sent to your HTTPS endpoint. See webhooks.
Reply when it's fixed
Reply or update a reply from Review Expert; it's posted back through the store APIs.
API & MCP serverEarly access
Programmatic and AI-agent access is in early access.
A bug-triage setup in four steps
- 1
Connect your apps
Under Apps & Businesses, add the iOS app with your Issuer ID, Key ID and.p8, and the Android app with your service account JSON. See the App Store and Google Play setup guides. - 2
Add a Linear destination for bugs
In Automation, choose Manage destinations, click Connect next to Linear and approve access. Set a maximum rating of 2 and keywords like “crash”, “freeze”, “error”, “bug”, “login”. - 3
Add a Slack channel for visibility
A second destination with a broader filter (all 1–2 star reviews) keeps the team aware without filling Linear with noise. - 4
Close the loop
When the fix ships, reply to the reviewers or update your earlier reply. On the App Store the customer is notified and may update their rating.
Keyword rules that work well
| Rule | Rating range | Keywords | Destination |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crashes | 1–2 | crash, freez, closes | Linear |
| Auth problems | 1–3 | login, log in, password, sign in | Linear |
| Payments | 1–3 | charged, refund, subscription | Slack (or Zendesk on Pro) |
| Everything negative | 1–2 | (none) | Slack |
Honest limits
- Rule-based routing, not AI classification. Topic and bug detection from review text is coming soon.
- No public API yet. Webhooks (Enterprise) are the way to get reviews into your own systems today.
- Only apps you publish. Review Expert uses your developer credentials; it doesn't monitor other apps.
For AI-agent workflows
We're building a remote MCP server so Claude, Cursor and other agents can query your reviews. Read the MCP docs and how agents could analyze app reviews.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, on every plan. Connect Linear with OAuth and add it as a destination with filters for minimum rating, maximum rating and keywords. For example, 1–2 star reviews mentioning "crash" or "login" become Linear issues. Matching is rule-based today; AI detection of bug reports is coming soon.
On Enterprise, a webhook destination sends a JSON payload for each review that matches its filters to an HTTPS URL you provide. Use it to feed internal dashboards, a data warehouse or your own bots.
Not yet. A public API and a remote MCP server for AI agents are in early access. See the MCP page to join the waitlist.
You create an App Store Connect API key (.p8) and a Google Cloud service account JSON key. Review Expert uses them only to call Apple's and Google's official APIs to read reviews and post your replies. Data lives in Postgres with row-level security per team and is transmitted over HTTPS. You can revoke either credential at any time from the store side.
History import on connect (Google Play: up to 36 months), then new reviews roughly every 5 minutes. The stores decide when a review becomes available in their APIs, so there can be a short lag compared with the consoles.
The stores attach version information to some reviews, but Review Expert's filters today are rating, platform and date. Include the review link or text in your Linear issue and check the version in the store console if you need it.
Route review bug reports to Linear
Starter includes Slack and Linear for 2 apps: $49/month, or $39/month billed annually. 14-day free trial.
