Before you start: how Review Expert fits an agency
Where it works well: a studio or agency that builds and maintains apps for clients and has taken on (or wants to offer) review monitoring and replies as part of the retainer. Your team works in one place instead of logging into each client's App Store Connect and Play Console accounts.
What agencies use

Onboarding a client app
- 1
Ask the client for API access
Send them our App Store and Google Play setup guides. They create an App Store Connect API key (Issuer ID, Key ID,.p8) and a service account invited in Play Console. You never need their passwords. - 2
Connect the app
An owner or admin adds the app under Apps & Businesses. Review Expert imports history and existing replies, then syncs roughly every 5 minutes. - 3
Set up routing
In Automation, choose Add destination, click Connect next to the tool and approve access. Use rating and keyword filters per destination, for example all 1–2 star reviews to your agency's review channel. Destinations apply to every app in the workspace; per-app routing isn't available yet. - 4
Agree on reply guidelines
Settle tone, escalation contacts and what you can promise publicly. Our response templates are a useful starting point.
Reporting to clients
The dashboard shows total reviews and growth vs the previous period, average rating, rating distribution, reviews over time, reviews by platform, response rate and average response time. Filter to one client's app and a date range for a monthly check-in. There's no branded PDF report or scheduled email today, so most agencies take screenshots or pull numbers into their own report.
If you manage a large portfolio, need more than 10 apps or have specific requirements, email hello@review.expert. We'd rather tell you honestly what fits than oversell.
Catch a bad client release early
A Slack destination with a maximum rating of 2 sends every new 1–2 star review across your client apps to one channel, roughly every 5 minutes, so a broken release shows up before the client calls. Add a Linear destination with keywords like update or crash to turn those reviews into issues. Automatic version-aware regression alerts are coming soon. See release regression alerts.
