Use Review Expert in Grok Bot
Connect the Review Expert MCP server to Grok Bot to read, search and analyze your App Store and Google Play reviews and draft replies from a chat.
Before you start
- A Review Expert account with at least one App Store or Google Play app connected.
- Store API keys are added in the Review Expert web app only. Never paste them into a chat.
1. Add a custom MCP connector
In Grok Bot's connector settings, add a custom MCP connector and enter this server URL:
https://mcp.review.expertNo API key or extra headers are needed. The server uses OAuth, so Grok Bot will ask you to sign in.
2. Sign in to Review Expert
When Grok Bot opens the Review Expert sign-in page, sign in with your Review Expert account.
3. Pick a team
If you belong to more than one team, choose the team whose apps Grok Bot should see. Each connection works with one team. To use another team, connect again.
4. Approve access
Review the permissions and approve. Reading apps and reviews and saving reply drafts are selected by default. Posting replies publicly to the stores is a separate permission that is off unless an owner or admin turns it on. See authentication for details.
5. Try it
Back in Grok Bot, try prompts like:
- “List my apps in Review Expert.”
- “Show this week's 1- and 2-star reviews for my iOS app and summarize the main complaints.”
- “Search my reviews for "crash" since the last release.”
- “Compare average rating and response rate this month vs last month for all my apps.”
- “Draft replies to the unanswered 1-star reviews from this week. Don't post them.”
Drafts are saved in Review Expert and are never posted unless you granted replies:post and confirm. See the tool reference for every tool and the limits per plan.
Disconnect
Remove the connector in Grok Bot. You can also revoke the connection from Review Expert.
Connect your AI assistant to your reviews
Sign in, open Settings → MCP, and add the server URL to your client. It takes about a minute.
